An “Amethyst Hat” and “Amethyst Dress” did release around the same time as Series 2 toy line, but they had distinct designs from the Princess Costume. This Series 2 plush matches the Series 1 Princess Costume design, not the Amethyst Dress, so they’re grouped under the same outfit item.
