A complete step-by-step guide for Mission 4: Avalanche Rescue.

1. Talk to Gary the Gadget Guy. Keep speaking with him until you can ask: “Where can I find the life preserver shooter?”
2. Click the Gadget Room security door to enter.
3. Find the life preserver shooter on the top shelf of the case and add it to your inventory.
4. Use your spy phone to teleport to the Ski Lodge.
5. To the right of the back door that leads to the ice-fishing hole, pick up the fishing pole.
6. Teleport to the Lighthouse.
7. Grab the rope hanging from the rowboat.
8. Climb the stairs to the Lighthouse Beacon and locate the telescope.
9. Open your spy phone, click the flashing red light, and select the wrench.
10. Use the wrench on the bolt attaching the telescope to the railing, then take the portable telescope.
11. Teleport to the Sport Shop.
12. Remove the brown belt from the lime-green penguin mannequin and add it to your inventory.
13. Exit to the Ski Village.
14. Talk to the crying brown penguin. He explains that the ski lift is broken and asks if you can fix it.
15. Use the brown belt on the ski lift’s motor.
16. At the foot of the lift, pick up the white fur.
17. Return to the Sport Shop and enter Gary’s Room.
18. Find the tripod in front of the window.
19. Place the telescope on the tripod and click it to look through.
20. You’ll see a network of paths from the top of the mountain leading down to four stranded penguins.
21. Since the correct route changes each time, write down the proper sequence of paths: left, center, or right.
22. Teleport to the Mountain / Ski Hill (Note the strange footprints). Click the run to start your descent.
23. At each fork, follow the path you noted down earlier on step 23. At the bottom, you’ll reach the crashed tubes and broken fence.
24. In your inventory, combine the fishing pole with the life preserver shooter, then add the rope to create the rescue device.
25. Use the device on the edge of the cliff.
26. You’ll see the four penguins and the life preserver on a rope.
27. Use the preserver to clear the tangled branches on the right.
28. Click the middle penguin to have it grab the preserver.
29. Then click the right penguin so both are hanging from it.
30. Move them above the branch where the first penguin stood and click the branch to set a penguin down.
31. This bends the branch away, letting the hanging penguin reach the third penguin.
32. Click to the right of the penguin on the branch, the penguin on the preserver drops down and picks up the third one.
33. Click the penguin on the branch to gather all three penguins onto the preserver.
34. Move left and click the ledge (left of the boulder) three times to set the three penguins down safely.
35. They will push the boulder off the ledge.
36. Click the three penguins again to collect them.
37. Then click between the ledge and the branch to swoop down and rescue the fourth penguin.
38. Back at the mountain top, put away your device.
39. Talk to Gary once more and give him the white fur.
