Why was my penguin banned?

No one likes to get banned. But if you did, here are some of the reasons it may have happened:

  • Inappropriate language
  • Bullying
  • Using 3rd party programs to cheat
  • Asking other players for personal information

If you’re still not sure why your penguin was banned, your parent will need to log into their Parent Account or contact Club Penguin’s Player Support Team to get more information.

How does a penguin get banned?

There are a few ways bans occur in Club Penguin:

  1. Automatic bans occur when a player uses inappropriate language that is marked by our security system. These bans happen immediately, and the player will be logged out of Club Penguin, and banned for 24 hours.
  2. Moderators can apply bans to a penguin at any time. When a penguin is reported, a record of all conversation, including filtered messages, is sent to our moderators. Moderators review the conversation and will ban accounts found breaking the Club Penguin Rules. Accounts can be banned for 24 hours, 72 hours, or forever depending on the offense.

Can another player ban me?

No. Only Club Penguin’s moderation team can ban penguin accounts.

If a player feels that another player’s actions or words are inappropriate, they can report that player to our moderation team. Our moderators with review the report to see if a ban should be made.
