Hello Penguins!

As we are nearing the end of the Club Penguin Beta Test, we are finally ready to release the details of what Club Penguin membership will include, and what you’ll receive as a “thank-you” for helping test Club Penguin. We have tried our best to make it as fair as possible. The best thing is that even the free areas of Club Penguin will still be better and include more than Penguin Chat ever did. So here goes:

What Do I Get For Free?
– You get to choose and name your penguin
– You get to chat with other Penguins
– You get unlimited time in Club Penguin
– You get to play most games
– You get to earn coins (in case you want to become a member later)
– You get to visit your buddies igloos
– You get to be agents
– You get to have fun!

What do Members Get? (including all the above items)
– You get your own igloo
– You get to purchase clothing
– You get to buy furniture for your igloo
– You get to buy items for future games
– You get access to all of Club Penguin

What do Beta Testers Get?
– You get one free month of membership starting from launch
– You get 2,000 free coins for helping test Club Penguin
– You get to keep the party hat (if you attended the party)
– You get to brag to all your friends that you were one of the first to play Club Penguin!

We know that some of you will be unhappy about this, but we hope that most of you understand that we need to cover the costs of running Club Penguin and making it even better in the future. A lot of sites would just have a 7 day trial or something, but we didn’t want to kick anyone out of Club Penguin for not becoming a member. We hope you know how thankful we are for your help and we would hope that all of you would someday become members.
