When we added account authentication there was a feature added that allows parents of young children to restrict chatting to “easy-chat” only. We later realized that it automatically went to that method unless you changed it, so if you didn’t read it and select the other method, you won’t be able to chat.

So here’s what to do if you meant to select “open-chat”.

1. Log Into Club Penguin

2. Click on the “?” button in the menu bar

3. Click on the “edit account” button

4. Click on the “Safe Chat Level”

5. Please read and select the correct one. If a “parent password” box comes up, it means you entered a password into that box when you set up your account. You will need to enter the same password again to make the change.
